Wizard Bicycles traces its roots back to a small garage in Ocean Beach California. I have always had a passion for classically styled single speed bicycles. While cruising and perusing the oceanfront I would pick up any bicycle I could find to tinker with. I would then proceed to drag these forgotten bicycles back to a small garage behind the house my friends were renting at the beach. It was there I would begin tearing the bike down to the bare frame, then repainting them and building them back up from scratch. I’d then go ride my newly finished bicycle up and down the boardwalk until the inevitable would happen. Someone would strike up a conversation with me and offer to buy the bike . I’d happily oblige and return to my little garage and start on the next one. Years later, after a couple moves around the country and into other two wheeled endeavors, the opportunity presented itself to once again build bikes the way I like them; Simple, reliable, and downright fun to look at. And Wizard Bicycles was born!
